In our ACT training, we believe that although being aware can greatly cut down on the likelihood of an assault happening the chances are still there. ACT students are trained in the most efficient & most effective self defense strategies.
The ACT training ensures that not only you are prepared but that you have prepared your surroundings for Whatever Life Throws at You. By not only preparing yourself with the right techniques ACT will ensure your surroundings are prepared to make sure you are ready for every situation you could encounter. When you and your surroundings are prepared you and your families life is safer.
Mental & Emotional Strategies
Have you ever had someone jump out from behind something and scare you? Have you had a friend sneak up behind you and scared you?
In that moment you gasped and held your breath. Your heart rate went up, fear set in and momentarily you were paralyzed!
ACT teaches students how to be ready and prepared for the moment the attack happens. Students are trained so that the fight or flight instinct is ready. Students work not only on pads and equipment but are also training with each other and working on creating stressful environments that help simulate real world situations so that if the situation arises, You are Prepared for Whatever Life Throws a You!
Assessing the Situation
Part of your awareness training is learning to assess the situation. Our ACT students are trained to subconsciously always be aware and always be assessing everything going on around you. ACT prepares you so that this is no longer a conscious decision but something that is automatic.
When the attack happens you have seen it moments before it happens. Your ACT training helps you to “slow down” the attack so that you know what to do, what strategies to use, what resources that you have with and around you, to see if there are other threats and how to exit the situation.

Overcoming & Neutralizing the Attack
Although in a perfect world we would be safe and never have to worry about an attack, the reality is that the possibility of encountering a situation is greater than you think. When the encounter happens ACT will prepare you to de-escalate and walk away if possible. When de-escalation is not a possibility, the ACT tools will give u everything you need to neutralize the attack and to overcome and neutralize the attacker / attackers.

Health and Fitness
In addition to being an excellent self-defense system, ACT is a great high-intensity workout that inevitably leads to amazing physical fitness. In fact, many people start self-defense classes for the physical benefits they offer. ACT can be a really hard workout, so it is highly effective and you can start seeing results faster than with other forms of training.
Each class starts with a warm-up and combines high-intensity training with various aerobic moves throughout the session. The punches, kicks, and other exercises ensure you work out muscles that aren’t normally exercised through everyday activities or even weight lifting.
At the end of a class, you will have completed a full-body workout that burns calories, tones and builds your muscles, and improves your cardiovascular system, strength, and stamina. Indeed, you can burn around 500-900 calories in one hour.
